Duke of York Restaurant celebrates ‘topping out’

Celebrating the near completion of the Duke of York Restaurant

A topping-out ceremony was held today, to celebrate the near completion of the Duke of York Restaurant. Representatives from architects and contractors involved with the project were joined by the Cadogan team on the newly completed roof of the award-winning building to see Lord Chelsea and John Gilsenan from Westgreen mark the moment by placing their hands in concrete.

Architects NEX were commissioned to create the Restaurant, following an international design competition. It will occupy a prominent position on the King’s Road, neighbouring the Saatchi Gallery. Ahead of its opening, a model of the new restaurant has also been chosen for display at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, curated by Grayson Perry.
