Chelsea in Bloom 2025
Chelsea in Bloom is back, and it’s dressed to impress. From the 19th – 25th May, London’s largest free flower festival returns in full bloom, celebrating its dazzling 20th anniversary with the theme ‘Flowers in Fashion’.
Get ready for a botanical catwalk like no other, as Chelsea’s iconic streets are transformed into a floral fantasia, with over 115 boutiques, restaurants, and businesses — including Ralph Lauren, Hackett, Brunello Cucinelli, RIXO, and Temperley London — decked out in spectacular petal-powered displays. Inspired by legendary fashion eras, unforgettable muses, and timeless style icons, this year’s creations pay tribute to Chelsea’s chic heritage as one of the world’s most stylish neighbourhoods – while this year’s charity partner will be the British Fashion Council Foundation – championing the next generation of creatives and designers.
Produced by Cadogan in collaboration with the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS), Chelsea in Bloom extends the Chelsea Flower Show out into the local neighbourhood.
Expect larger-than-life installations that wink at British eccentricity: giant yellow wellies basking under a flurry of umbrellas (a cheeky homage to the great British weather and the ever-iconic Sloane Ranger), a towering 4-metre punk with a gloriously spiked floral mohawk on the King’s Road, and a handbag installation that would make even the most seasoned fashionista swoon. At Duke of York Square, the roaring ’20s bloom anew in a spectacle of vintage glamour. In honour of its recent transformation into a beautiful 1km green boulevard, Sloane Street will host three show-stopping displays, including supersized Elton John-style sunglasses and a model in a floral couture gown — a floral bow to local literary legend Jane Austen.
This year, Chelsea in Bloom will partner with two special charities. In support of the British Fashion Council Foundation, supporting the growth and success of the UK fashion industry through education, mentoring and talent development, visitors will be able to pledge donations throughout the week and purchase exclusive event tote bags, with all profits going to the charity.
Caroline Rush, Chief Executive, British Fashion Council, said: “The BFC Foundation is delighted to be the charity partner Chelsea in Bloom in its 20th anniversary, celebrating the intersection of creativity, fashion and floristry. Building awareness of the charity and raising funds to nurture and support the next generation of creatives and designer talent through the work of the BFC Foundation is a core part of our mission. We are pleased to work with BFC Patron Cadogan and I am really looking forward to exploring the stores, many are a part of the BFC Community. I am particularly excited for Brunello Cucinelli who was recently announced as the Outstanding Achievement Award winner for The Fashion Awards 2025.”
Chelsea in Bloom will also be working with The Confetti Club for a third year, granting another life for leftover fresh petals to turn to confetti, then sold to raise funds for Cancer Research UK.
In its most sustainable year yet, floral foam has been banned from use within displays. This change not only supports the RHS in their efforts to promote responsible floristry, but promises visitors an exciting opportunity to discover true creativity in participants’ designs.
Gold, Silver, Bronze and Merit awards will be awarded to participants by RHS judges alongside Lifestyle judges, in addition to the top awards for ‘Best Floral Display’, ‘Highly Commended’ and the ‘Innovation Award’, with winners announced on Tuesday, 20 May 2025.
Voting for ‘People’s Champion’ is decided by the public and the only voting will open from 5pm on Monday 19th and close at midnight on Thursday 22nd – please vote for your favourite!
From the finely stitched elegance of 19th-century tailors and milliners to the rebellious seams of punk in the 1970s, Chelsea has always been a cut above when it comes to style. Today, it plays host to both global fashion powerhouses and boundary-pushing creatives. And this year, the neighbourhood is set to strut its stuff once more—as Chelsea blossoms into perhaps its most stunning catwalk yet.
