Chelsea in Bloom 2026: Out of This World – 18-24 May
Chelsea in Bloom returns this spring, and this year, the world-class floral art show is shooting for the stars. From 18–24 May, London’s largest free flower festival will once again transform Chelsea into an open‑air gallery, extending the magic of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show out into the neighbourhood.
Retailers, restaurants and hotels across the area will unveil spectacular floral creations, each inspired by 2026’s cosmic theme: Out of This World.
Celebrating Chelsea’s long‑standing spirit of imagination and artistic expression, this year’s festival invites participants and visitors alike to slip delightfully “into the flowerverse,” where planets, constellations and ancient myths bloom in fresh, unexpected ways. From shimmering galaxies and planetary wonders to the playful world of astrology, spirituality and ancient legends, creativity is encouraged to travel far beyond Earth’s orbit.
Across the neighbourhood, celestial scenes will take shape: Sloane Square is to host a radiant Floral Zodiac; Duke of York Square will present Saturn in full floral splendour alongside a whimsical Moon Landing tableau; and Pavilion Road will welcome a suspended UFO drifting dreamily above the street. Each installation offers a small moment of wonder, encouraging visitors to explore familiar streets through a new, and decidedly starrier, lens.
With no fee to enter, the festival draws a joyful mix of participants and continues to grow in ambition and reach. It brings tens of thousands to Chelsea each day and offers a vibrant platform for creativity, community engagement and visibility.
Whether you come for the immersive installations, the creative storytelling, or simply to wander through a neighbourhood in full bloom, Chelsea in Bloom 2026 promises a week of wonder, whimsy and inspiration light‑years beyond the everyday.
Building on its status as one of London’s most anticipated cultural highlights, Chelsea in Bloom 2025 welcomed a record-breaking 1.58m visitors with over 132 businesses taking part.
2026 is set to be even bigger, with participants and further information on the floral spectacle to be announced in March.
