Country Life magazine takes an in-depth look at Chelsea, from its humble beginnings through to today’s vibrant neighbourhood.

The feature runs through the history of Chelsea from 1712 to the modern day. It includes a guide to Sir Hans Sloane’s essential role, architect Henry Holland’s creation of ‘Hans Town’,  the resurgence of the King’s Road from private Royal highway to the heart of the Swinging Sixties, the many artists and writers who have both been inspired by and helped to shape their neighbourhood – and Cadogan’s role as stewards throughout the last 300 years.
