Cadogan has announced Peter Oates as Head Gardener. With over 29 years of horticultural experience, he will take responsibility for nurturing and developing the gardens on the 93 acre Cadogan Estate.

Peter’s depth and breadth of knowledge of public gardens will enable him to enhance the beautiful greenery of Chelsea with his team. Having been Head Gardener for notable gardens such as Preston House, Chiswick House and Bosahan Estate, the experience Peter has cultivated over the years puts him in perfect stead to oversee Cadogan’s 15 acres of flourishing green space; including Hans Place, Cadogan Square, Cadogan Place North and Cadogan Place South. From beautifully manicured lawns and richly planted beds, with exotic plants and ornamental sculptures, the garden squares are treasures of the area.

Hugh Seaborn, Chief Executive, Cadogan, comments, “We are delighted to welcome Peter to the business. He will lead his team of five gardeners to maintain our gardens of the highest standard.”

Peter adds: “I am excited to be taking on this new role working on garden squares of London with such outstanding history and am looking forward to building on the fantastic work the gardening team already does.”
