Organised by Cadogan in association with the RHS, Chelsea in Bloom sees the area transformed with flowers for this year’s theme; ‘Summer of Love’. Inspired by the Royal Wedding and with the wider concept embracing the original Summer of Love in the ‘60’s & 70’s – it’s a theme rooted in the local area, from the Palace to the King’s Road.

Chelsea in Bloom is a Cadogan initiative, born 13 years ago with the aim of extending the iconic RHS Flower show out into the local community. It has been building year on year and this is the most successful to date, with a record 65 businesses taking part by dressing their shopfronts (which are judged by the RHS) in competition for the Chelsea in Bloom crown.

Monica Vinader is this year’s winner, taking home the prize of ‘Best Floral Display’ for their strikingly beautiful homage to the era of peace and love, their vibrantly kaleidoscopic façade captivating the judges and public alike. Harry’s Dolce Vita’s display was awarded ‘Highly Commended’, with the ‘Innovation Award’ going to Lucas Hugh. There is all still to play for, with the ‘People’s Champion Award’ as yet undecided. With special thanks to florist All For Love, London, who created the spectacular central installations on Sloane Square and Pavilion Road, as well as Maison des Fleurs for the stunning floral heart-shaped letterbox on Duke of York Square.
