Chelsea Summer Fete
The Chelsea Summer Fete returned for its third year on 22 June to celebrate the start of summer.
Local institutions joined forces to celebrate the community –including storytelling from Peter Jones, beautiful floral crown workshops from the Chelsea Physic Garden, National Army Museum offering children’s army drills, KXU hosting an outdoor yoga session, Chelsea FC Foundation teaching ball skills, and the iconic Chelsea Pensioners selling their hand-crafted pottery. Goodwood Revival hosted the first Settrington Cup outside of Goodwood with eager children limbering up on the running track to race in mini Austin J40 Pedal Cars, competing for the opportunity to race in the famous Settrington-Cup race at Goodwood revival in September.
Pavilion Road was pedestrianised – Jazz music played throughout the day, artisan food shops held tastings with BBQs from Provenance Butcher, The Sea, The Sea, and other delicious offerings from Hans’ Bar & Grill, Bread Ahead, The Roasting Party and Pavilion Wine. Children’s entertainers extraordinary Sharky & George kept children entertained with face-painters and the ultimate party games.
The Summer Fete is part of a full year-long programme of events organised by Cadogan – for major community event dates, please visit the Explore the area page.
