Save Tax Free Shopping

We are disappointed and concerned at the Treasury’s unexpected decision to end tax-free shopping for overseas visitors.

Cadogan has sent a letter to the Chancellor strongly urging government to reconsider their decision and explaining why an end to Tax Free Shopping would be hugely detrimental to Britain’s tourism sector, and in particular to Chelsea, where we have a long-term commitment to the success of the area. We have joined forces with New West End Company, along with Walpole, the British Retail Consortium (BRC)¸ the Association of International Retail (AIR), and colleagues in retail, tourism and airlines across the UK to do all we can to overturn this decision.

Read our letter here and join us in supporting the wider campaign.

You can write directly to the Chancellor at public.enquiries@hmtreasury.gov.uk to express your own views, including any data you have on the impact this will have on your business.
